City honors longtime resident with proclamation June 2010 Savannah, Georgia

The city of Savannah is reserving a special honor for a Cuban immigrant who came to the city several decades ago. Savannah Alderman Van Johnson honored Mario De la Guardia with a special city proclamation. A Savannah figure for 40 years, De la Guardia established the strength of Nature Global and was president of Carson Products. He was also president of the Broad Street YMCA.
